  Barry County Baptist Preachers      

            

 

The photo below is of, among others, Guy Golden Carr who was born on a farm near Monett in 1894. His father was William Morgan Carr and his Mother was Sarah Dove Kennedy Carr. She was a sister of Tom and William Kennedy who are also pictured in this photo. These men were licensed to preach at Bethel Church.

And all the men in the photograph were Baptist preachers.

INFORMATION ADDED

The identities of most of the men are not known.  The ones that have been identified are:

Front row, from left is William Kennedy; third from right is Tom Kennedy and the man on the far right is thought to be Curtis Kennedy. 

Standing in the second row, on the far left is believed to be John Kennedy. According to LoVella Truhitte Moore the man in the second row, third from right is Charles VanZandt (LoVella's great uncle).

The man in the rear - third - row, fourth from left is thought to be Guy Carr.
