According to George R. Allman - "I have a copy of this photo given to me by a cousin, Orpha Allman Hill of San Antonio, TX. She received it from Maye Allman Cook of Aurora, MO. The information I received indicates the veterans (left to right) are: John Boswell, William "Bill" Thomas, John Caldwell, Will Zinn, William Franklin Allmon (my gr gr grandfather), Hiram McKinzie, and Horatio Cornman."

“On back of photo is inscription: Old soldiers taken 35 years ago by R. Zinn.”
The inscription may have been written by Chester Ora Mitchell, father of Mitch Mitchell, the owner of the photo.
The photo may have been taken in 1917 at the Veteran’s Reunion as described in the August 1995 issue of Ancestors Unlimited: “Commander Cornman and the board of managers.....35--40 old soldiers who have been in attendance.”
