James Monroe Turner (May 1, 1865 - Sept. 3,1933) married
Hattie Shepherd (not pictured) (born 1864 MO) Aug. 12, 1883. He and his
daughter Lillie are buried in Mt Pleasant Cemetery. I believe Hattie is
buried in CA.
John Franklin Thornton (Jan. 16, 1860, Polk Co., IA, d: Aug. 1906, Lawrence
Co., MO, Thomas - Fellowship Cemetery) married Ida M. Shepherd (not pictured)
(1867 MO - 1902 Lawrence Co., MO Red Oak Cemetery). (This is my line)
Joseph Shepherd (1868 MO) married Paralee Irwin, Sept. 29, 1891. Both died
in CA, after 1930 (census). Children Ruby and Arvil (pictured) (died San
Bernardino, CA, Oct. 12, 1970)
Arch Shepherd (Aug. 8, 1872 - July 1, 1949) married Cora Irwin (March 12,
1877 - May 14, 1950) Both buried in Red Oak Cemetery at Red Oak, Lawrence
Co., MO. Earl (pictured) Sept. 20, 1892 - May 1967, Jerome, ID
Dora Shepherd (1875 MO, died in Cherokee Co., OK) married James William
Sparks (died Cherokee Co., OK) June 6, 1893
Martha Shepherd (1876 AR, d: CA) married Alexander Leroy “Lee” Erwin (Feb.
12, 1873 - Sept. 1, 1952 d: CA) Oct. 19, 1893
Jane (maiden name unknown, possibly Cullop, born KY 1842 d: Sept. 22, 1924,
Red Oak Cemetery) married John Shepherd (b VA 1831, died sometime in 1890's
(this is why unsure of man in picture). Jane married Simon Stockton in 1902,
Lawrence Co., Missouri. He died 1908, buried Red Oak Cemetery.
This Shepherd family was listed in 1880 Census in Barry County, McDonald
Township, #311-319.
Most later changed the spelling to Sheppeard.
