This is a photo of Stephen Francis Wilson and his daughter Helen. Helen was born July 6, 1890, in McMinn County, Tennessee, and appears to be around two years of age in this photo.

Her mother died at some point between birth and the making of the photo. Stephen left Tennessee and settled in Barry / Stone County. He married Thula Hilton in April 1894.

Between the time of the photo and 1894, Helen was brought to Missouri. She married Vernon "Bud" Hilton and remained in Barry County for the rest of her life.
