Boon was born in Barry Co., MO, Dec. 12, 1943, in the Roaring River Community, which would have been not too far from where the Munsey Cemetery is today. He was a son of Charles and Sarah (Collins) Haddock. He married Columbia Russell, Feb. 15, 1866, in Barry Co., MO

Columbia was a daughter of Milo Butler and Unice Mariah (Haddock) Russell. The Milo Russell homestead is now on the park grounds.

Columbia was a grand daughter of Zachariah and Chloe (Albritton) Haddock. They lived near where the Haddock Cemetery is located - not far from Eagle Rock. Their daughter Alice married Judge Richard Henry Elam, July 3, 1887 in Barry Co., MO. He was a son of James Henry and Louisa Marnitha Paralee (Rogers) Elam.

Boon and Columbia are both buried in Haddock Cemetery, near Eagle Rock.

Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. Boone Haddock of near Eagle Rock celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary Monday, Feb. 14. A large number of relatives, neighbors and friends assembled at their home and assisted in making the day a most pleasant one for these excellent old people.

Mr. and Mrs. Haddock were both born in Barry County and have lived here all their lives. They have been awarded a number of times the prize offered at the Cassville Reunion for the couple having the longest continual residence in the county. They are enjoying fair health and bid fair to enjoy many returns of their wedding anniversary. [Wedding day was Feb 15th.] Feb 17, 1916, Thursday, Cassville Republican, Barry Co., MO
