Nichols Family

This is the Archie M. Nichols family not including their son.

Archie M. Nichols born 12 October 1868 somewhere in Illinois, (parents unknown) died 14 April 1949 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and is buried in the Chalk Bluff cemetery in Stilwell.

Lavenia Montgomery was born, 4 April 1873, in Barry County to John R. Montgomery and Mary C. Bradley. She died 29 April 1929 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma where she is buried.

The oldest and the first born was my grandmother, Lora Viola Nichols born in Butterfield, Barry County, Missouri. On 31 Jan. 1894 she died in Joplin, MO, the 3 April 1967. She married Arthur Melvin Putnam on 26 Dec. 1916 in Heavener, OK.

Next is Mabel Nichols born in or around Barry County 1 Aug. 1899 died in Vinita, OK, 31 May 1974, and body was donated to the OU Medical School.

Next is Glessie born on or abt 1902-1904 in or around Barry County and I don't know her death date. She ran a beauty shop in K. C., KS, in 1920 to 1930 got married late in life.

Next but not shown is John R. Nichols born in or around Pawhuska, OK, in 1920 don't know his death date.
