I recently became more interested in my father's history. Gale C. EARP was born April 6, 1914, in Lamar, MO. His father was George Earp and his mother was Lucile Earp (HATCHER). Reportedly he was born in the Truman Historical Site Home. We are not sure but believe he is a descendant of Jonathon Earp, brother of Nicholas Earp. Any information you can provide about George Earp's father, etc., would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached by phone at 573-364-7422, or by mail at 11960 Forest Lakes Drive, Rolla, MO 65401. Any cost incurred will be reinbursed.
My father, Gale C. EARP, was born in Lamar, Mo., in 1914. His father was George Earp who we believe was a decendent of Jonathon D. Earp, a brother to Wyatt's father Nichalos Earp. Have you determined which brother you are related to? We are trying to get more info from the Barton County Historical Society in Lamar, but have not had any response to date.
