We have added some nice work done by a contributor on BLM records in the maps section of our main page.
As some may know, we have been having trouble with our server for many months. We have upgraded the hardware and installed new software for improved functionality. The main problem causing our outages turns out to have been a service pack problem to Windows NT that compromised the system and made it prone to failure when used in certain ways. It was secure .... just broken. We have modified our system to avoid those (Microsoft) programs and it seems to be stable once again. Apologies for the times in the past where the pages were unavailable.
24 February 2002

Bring new Domains on-line: http://www.bocomo.org is the new Boone County Genealogy domain and http://www.gscm.gen.mo.us is a new domain for the GSCM organization. Work has been delayed while getting this ready, a few queries need to be posted and GSCM needs some updates as well. They should be coming shortly. A little reorganization has already been done.

Add road map and directions to Antioch cemetery.
11 June 2000
Add 1954 article of cleanup of Antioch cemetery. Some map work remains.

The Boone County cities page has been updated with some historical information on Ashland (1) (2). There are lots of early settlers names in these reports! We hope to continue the concept with information on the other cities of Boone county later.
7 June 2000
We now have a new toy (excuse me, tool) -- a GPS (global positioning system) handset. We can now mark the position of the cemetery work so that no matter how the roads move, the location of the cemetery will be known! Now that the U.S. Government has kindly turned off the Selective Availability (SA) the units are reasonably accurate and are becoming ever more popular.
20 May 2000
The Antioch cemetery is now 90% done. Some map work remains.
We have always high hopes for what can get up on these pages. Unfortunately
making a living seems to get in the way. Never the less, here are some of the things
that we are working on or would like to work on.
That should keep us busy until 2100 rolls around.
