Each year Irene signed a
new contract agreeing to teach at the school.
This contract is from Richmond School for the 1922-23 school year.
This is the agreement that teachers signed to accept their new contract for teaching another year.
The picture above is the cover to a World War II Ration Book. To purchase the rationed food, the person would pay for the product, and turn in stamps like those in this picture. Red stamps were necessary to purchase meat, fish, cheese, dairy products, etc. Blue stamps were necessary for vegetables, canned fruits, and similar products.
This picture was taken while Irene was teaching at Augusta Public Schools. It is a wonderful picture to compare with the pictures from the first schools that Irene taught. It gives you a very good picture of how much the school environment changed between the time that she started and when she retired.
