NOTE: Find individual in 1840 Alphabetized
listing and then go to the indicated page in the * 1840 list for family details.
Note neighbors in the census enumeration.
NOTE: For the 1850 Census, Buchanan County is divided into several townships. To locate a person in this county you will need to look at each of the ALPHABETIZED parts of the Township Census data. Once you have found a name, you can then go to the corresponding raw-data part of the files to locate the person with respect to neighbors. The alphabetized file appears ahead of the raw-data file for each township. They are presented in township pairs in tables below, with the Alphabetized files coming first.

*NOTE: It was discovered that the Washington Township census was discontinuous. This PART B was found about 100 pages after the first part was concluded. The task of combining the two parts was not considered worth the large amount of time involved.
It will thus be necessary to investigate both parts to determine if a certain person or family was present in this township in 1850.
