Photos dated 1907 - Elwood School, 

Elwood, Doniphan County, Kansas

Although these pictures are of children and teachers who went to or taught at the Elwood School and are not in Buchanan County, Missouri, they are posted here because Elwood, Kansas is just across the Missouri River from St. Joseph.  Many of the people on either side of the river were related and went back and forth.  The photos were found in a home at 1015 Vine Street in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Picture 6:  Writing on the back indicates that Gladys Schell  is holding (baby) Everett Roy Steele, who is the son of John Chris & Pearl Steele and the brother of Kenneth H. Steele, 1015 Vine St. , St. Joseph, MO. This is the address where these old photos were found.

Picture 7:  Grandma Law (Nancy Emily O'Neal Law) maternal grandmother of Pearl Walker Steele.

Picture 8:  Lillie Law taken in Kirchener's Addition [St. Joseph, MO] - Aunt Jenny and Uncle Chas. Law's girl.
