GLASS CEMETERY (#45)
T24N
R5E SEC 25
Map
#11uu
Located about
seven miles from Poplar Bluff, this
family cemtery is now located in the woods on private
property. Some of the older inhabitants
of the region stated that there are at least 3 individuals by the name of GLASS, as well as several named SMITH, buried in this
location. Almost all of the markers have
been removed, and the area is overgrown.
It is estimated there are about as many as 50 graves in this cemetery. While the remains of a few fieldstone markers
can be see, none have legible inscriptions.
