I recently found my grandmother in the 1920 Butler County Census. She was Calista Fuller née Grimes. She was born around 1897 in Missouri. She died around 1930 in Missouri (Qulin?) after having been widowed from Fred Fuller and remarried to Emery Acord, when my father Austin Elmer Lee Acord was around 3 years old. We have had a hard time finding out anything about her. I would be happy to know who her parents and siblings were if possible. I don't seem to be able to find her in the 1910 online Butler County census. ANY help is appreciated.

I have been researching my maiden name of Alsman and was very surprised to find in the 1880 census of Butler Co an Andrew Alsman was listed. He was listed as living at Ash Hill. There was four sons and one daughter living in the household. Listed as follows Alsman Thomas 26,son,single, cooper John w Alsman 25,son single, cooper. The other two were Andrew D and Joseph H. Alsman listed as at home. Does anyone know what the cooper means? The daughter Lottie Alsman married Joseph Land in 1879 in Butler co. Then there are servants listed as Susan Chriss,Mary Posen,Samantha and Robert Sullivan,Marshall Hegwood,Frank Mound and Anderson Nord listed as laborer and hired hand.Thomas Boyle is listed as Brothernlaw. I would like to know if anyone may have any of these names in their research, I know the Alsman is from Kentucky and Indiana. I would also like to know if there is a way to find out if any were buried around Ash Hill. I have been there but found no markers, as I live fairly close. Thank you for your time Patsy

David Murphy Nixon was the son of John and Emily (Jackson) Nixon, born 6 Apr 1850 IN (possibly Hamilton Co). He was raised by his Aunt Susan (Jackson) Nixon, who was his double aunt. He married Mary "Polly" Goad 3 Jul 1873 Daviees Co, IN. She died bet 1881 (when their last son John Garfield was born) and 1886/1887 when David married Alice Arthur (b Jan 1868). Alice was the daughter of Samuel and Louisa (Goad) Arthur. Louisa and Mary "Polly" were sisters. The families of David Nixon and Samuel Arthur (David's father-in-law) were in Dunklin Co by 1890 according to an old family letter, but I feel that they were in Butler County between 1873 and 1890. Any information or leads would be very appreciated
