CARTER COUNTY QUERIES FOR SEPTEMBER, 1996 THROUGH DECEMBER, 1996

Looking for info on any DEATON and/or BOUNDS in the Carter County area. My grandfather, Uncas Steve DEATON was born in Butler Co Mo but spent most of his life in Carter Co Mo. His parents were John Stephen Speede DEATON who was born in Hickman Co TN 12/04/1853 and Francis Caroline BOUNDS who was born in Mo 1/18/1856. She died in Carter Co in 1929 and is buried in the Abram Cemetery. Her father was Stephen BOUNDS who was born in Mo in 1829 (his family moved to Mo about 1818/1819 from either NC or SC. Both the DEATON/BOUNDS had numerous children and I would love to connect with others from these families.

I am looking for information on James RODGERS born in 1812 in Missouri. He married Mahala BROWN born in 1810 in Tennessee. They moved to Carter County, Missouri. They had a daughter Martha J. RODGERS born March 7, 1854 in Carter County, Mo. She went on to marry Andrew Columbus HUGHES in 1870 in Wayne county. If anyone knows of these two families please e-mail me. Thank you.
