I am looking for information on my gg-grandfather and mother:Ferdin Augustus (F.A.)FRANKLIN and Mary Louise ARNOLD. Ferdin was born in 1865, place unknown. Mary was born February 22, 1862 place unknown also. They married January 4,1891 in Grandin, Mo. He died in May 1901( I have two different dates) at home at Pleasant Grove. It is possible that they owned a hotel in Van Buren, Mo. Mary later married a man name ? CROWE. F.A and Mary's children: Pearle, Elizabeth, Maude, James. I would appreciate any information. Am researching information on Zimri A. CARTER and Benjamin F. CARTER(1756-1823) who were my gggrandfather and ggggrandfather, respectively. Want to know where each is buried and when Benjamin F CARTER'S wife, Mary Allen Carter, died and where she is buried. Appreciate help and will share my own info.

Joseph STEVENS/STEPHENS m. ca1855 Bollinger Co., MO Hannah BARKS, dau of Issac and Sarah WISE BARKS. Sarah was dau of David and Mary WISE who moved from Lincoln Co., NC to Cape Girardeau Co., MO 1810, David was son of Frederick WISE of Lincoln Co., NC whose Family History is now underway and to be published soon. JOSEPH and HANNAH STEVENS/STEPHENS moved to Carter Co. ca 1876. There is an urgent need for descendants to update their records for inclusion in the proposed history as quickly as possible.

NAME: Beverly Collins
SURNAMES: CLARK/RECTOR
Looking for info on the family of Noah CLARK and Charlotta Catherine RECTOR. They were parents of eight sons and three daughters, and Noah had a son from a previous marriage. Noah & Charlotta moved to Indian Territory before 1900. Noah died in 1900 and is buried somewhere in the vicinity of Lake Eufaula, OK. At the time of his death he was living with Mary SHAW. I'm not sure how they were related, but there was a connection. I don't know if Charlotta died before Noah or if she was still alive at the time of his death.

James SNIDER b. 1830 in TN,(son of John W. SNIDER and Anna NEAL SNIDER) married Teresa (Creassy) NEAL in about 1865. They had about 12 children including my great grandfather, Charles Wesley SNIDER. Charles m. Viola Belle NICHOLS and they moved to KS, then CO where Charles d. in abt 1911. Viola Belle NICHOLS parents were Griff NICHOLS and Malinda "Alice" SAVAGE (all three were born in Hickman county TN). Griff died before 1900 and is buried in Shannon County MO. Alice died in Rocky Ford, CO. I have more detailed data on these folks. Teresa NEAL b. 27 Nov 1844, d. aft. 1880, was dau. of Robert NEAL b. abt. 1800 in NC, and Nancy HENDERSON NEAL, b1805 in NC d. 1877 in Carter Co. MO.. Teresa and James SNIDER were first cousins, (married in 1865) and shared a common NEAL grandparent of John NEAL b 1755 in Ireland, d. 1832 Monroe, TN,. I would be interested in corresponding with any interested persons or others who have knowledge of these families.

I am looking for descendants of Wesley WEST and Nevada GOBLE, who moved to Missouri before 1900. They raised 7 children: Virgil Arthur, Ira, Nellie, Edna, Frank, Earl and Lulu. I am the great granddaughter of Bessie Cordary (TAYLOR) WEST, daughter of Nevada GOBLE's 1st marriage, and Charles William WEST, nephew of Wesley WEST. We have lots of info on this family to share and would love to catch up on that Missouri branch. We also have pictures!.

We are planning on having a first SNIDER Family Reunion in Van Buren, at the Rosecliff Lodge and Landing, June 18-22, 1997. So far, I have heard from people in California, Arizona, Colorado, Arkansa, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana, and Missouri who are planning on attending.
