Does anyone know anything about a Lulu Cain who m. (when?) John Harvey Spratley (b. 3 Jun 1851 in PA; d. 18 May 1913 in Carter Co., MO). John Harvey Spratley and Lulu Cain Spratley had the following children: Minnie Elen (b. 1878) and William Harvey (b. 1880). For years those of us researching the Wilson line: Jacob, Jacob Nelson, James Hasty, Riley, etc. have been looking for "James" as the ancestor. In the recent months a Bible account has become available that changes all our previous research. This Bible belongs to William Earl Wilson, grandson of William Wallace, youngest son of Samuel, and step brother to the above. It was recorded by Earl's grandmother, Violet Roller Wilson. Earl has given his permission for this information to be passed along to other Wilson researchers. Anyone interested in these families, please contact me, either by e-mail or snail mail.

Searching for information about William W. Sollars lived in Carter County, in 1900 census is shows that he was born in 1881. The Census records lists 6 children, but only lists 2 with 2 deceased. I know that he had a half brother and sister, Elizabeth and James Albert, but do not know who the other two children were. Also, have not been able to find anything later in census files. I am his grandson, born of Alvin Sollars and Elsie (Lapar) Brown. I have information from Robert Sollars but am trying to fill in the gaps between 1850 and 1912. Thanks.

The individual I am trying to get information on is my great great grandmother, Bammi Holford from Missouri who married ___(first name unknown) Washington (middle name) Perkins, Missouri all believed to have been from the Joplin or Jefferson City area but having had ties with Carter County as well. I can find no record but since I am new to this research, I wonder if you can give me some assistance in tracking down more information or if in your records you have turned up the above names. I am attempting to document what has up to now been family assumption and word-of-mouth heritage. I would appreciate any information you would care to share with me.
