NAME:James Darrel Darr
SURNAMES: DARR
Darr, James William born 5/15/1891 in either Van Buren Mo or some where in Ky. Father: Darr, Benjamin P. bd 1857, Mother:Darr, Lizzie D. (Short) bd 1883. Brother Darr, Denver bd 1895, sisters: Maud bd 1883 and Vergie bd 1886. I have been trying to find out any info on my father James William but with little luck. I know that they lived in Van Buren for some time and my father left to go into the army at or near the start of WWI. He remained in the army for over 20 years and left in or around 1935. The army record center had a fire and the records were lost. He married my mother in 1936 in Minnesota and moved to California in 1938. I was born in 1939, brother Jerry in 1941 and sister in 1937. He died in 1954 in Los Angeles from lung cancer. His wife, my mother is still alive in California and is 87 yrs old. If you can be of any help I would appreciate it.
Thanks

NAME:David Myers
SURNAMES: (CREAK?), HARDIN, PATTERSON
I am looking for information--especially cemetery information--on the
following people. 1.)Robert A. PATTERSON, b. 1800 in KY, lived in
Jackson/Johnson Twps. of Carter County from about 1859 at least through
the 1870 census. 2.)Robert's second wife, Mary B. (HARDIN) PATTERSON, b.
c.1812 in TN. 3.)Their daughter Clarissa "Clara" PATTERSON, b. c.1852 in
Marshall Co., TN, married W. A. (CREAK?) in July 1870
I would appreciate it if someone living in the Ellsinore area could do a
cemetery lookup for me. Robert and Mary must be buried somewhere in
Carter County because they lived in the county when the 1870 census was
taken and supposedly died within a year or two. And Ellsinore must be
the right area because the town is supposed to have been built on land
that Robert patented. I looked through all the on-line cemeteries and
came up empty. Thank you.
Thanks for your help.
