We are located at Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri.  Since we are located near the county center we are interested in preserving the history, historical artifacts, the struggles of our ancestors who came here over a hundred years ago, worked the land, raised their families, worshiped, and lived their lives in this beautiful part of the world.

The Cedar County Historical Society was organized in 1970 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting interest in, and preserving the history and genealogy of Cedar County, Missouri and its people.

Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month (except December) at 10:00 am at 106 Davis St., Stockton, MO.  Everyone is invited to attend.

The CCHS Newsletter is published quarterly.  Member queries are encouraged and needed.

Send your query or queries with your membership dues, let everyone know who you are looking for.  Dues are $10.00 and are payable in July.

One of most esteemed members said she had never had a friendship quilt.  She has one now, the members all signed a block and our favorite quilt maker did the rest.
