Shirley Potts---Assistant Treasurer
Dull Shackelford of Joplin is the new owner of the “Country
Sunshine” quilt from the Cedar County Historical Society’s Black
Walnut Festival raffle. Thank you to everyone who participated and
to member Shirley Potts for her donation.
We are located at
Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri. Since we are located near the
county center we are interested in preserving the history, historical
artifacts, the struggles of our ancestors who came here over a hundred
years ago, worked the land, raised their families, worshiped, and
lived their lives in this beautiful part of the world.
The Cedar County Historical Society
was organized in 1970 as a non-profit organization for
the purpose of promoting interest in, and preserving the history and
genealogy of Cedar County, Missouri and its people.
held the third Saturday of each month (except December) at 10:00 am at
106 Davis St., Stockton, MO. Everyone is invited to attend.
The CCHS Newsletter is published quarterly.
Member queries are encouraged and needed.
Send your query or queries with your membership dues,
let everyone know who you are looking for. Dues are $10.00 and
are payable in July.
