Mindenmines Cemetery is an awful place that is overgrown with weeds and briars and is in very bad condition. It is the worst place that I have found in Barton County and rivals some of those that I found in Jasper County. The cemetery is located on private land next to a road leading south from Highway 160 at Mindenmines. It is surrounded by abandoned mines. The place is hard to see from the road and is likely full of snakes during summer months. There are graves scattered all over and the cemetery covers an acre or more. Many graves are unmarked and the stones of others are buried under the overgrowth. There are many infants and young children buried here.
