| Waters Cemetery is a remote place that is located far out on the prairies of Barton County. It is located in Section 5, T30N, R 31W. of Barton County. It is located about 1/2 mile west of J Highway and about 1 mile north of the Jasper-Barton County line. This is a beautiful country cemetery and is located on a hill. It is well upkept and still being used for new burials. There are many early settlers from Barton and Jasper County buried here. |

Double stone erected for infants. There are so many of these infant burials everywhere. Most of the time these small stones are all that is left to record their short time on earth. | |||
| PHOTO | Unreadable mortuary marker.. I see lots of these small metal markers. After a few years they become unreadable and the person's only marker is lost. Most of these graves like this will never have a regular marker and the only record of this person is an obituary in an unknown newspaper, a long lost mortuary record, or a death certificate. The person's exact place of burial is soon lost. | |||
