Cook Cemetery is a small roadside cemetery located 2 1/2 miles south and 1 mile west of Wentworth, Mo. on JJ Highway. This cemetery is only a couple of miles from the Lawrence Co. line. The cemetery has been mowed and kept up by the property owner and it has a welcoming committee of about 5 barking dogs. Cemeteries in eastern parts of the county are much older than some farther west and this one was no exception. There is no sign at this cemetery and there have not been any new burials for many years. |
