Directions to Lakeside Cemetery:  LOCATED IN CHARITON COUNTY, MISSOURI SW 1/4, SEC 22, TWP56 RANGE 21. START IN SUMNER MO. AT INTERSECTION OF MISSOURI HWY 139 AND MISSOURI STATE ROUTE RA. GO SOUTH ON RA, 1/2 MILE TO BLACKTOP (OLD HWY 139) ROAD GOING WEST. GO WEST ABOUT 1/4 MILE TO CEMETERY.  THIS CEMETERY WAS ALSO KNOWN AS SPRING LAKE CEMETERY IN 1897 ATLAS

NOTE FROM CARLA:  First the cemetery has blocks 1 though 16 (there are no blocks 3, 4 and 9 because of low laying land that floods from time to time. Then the blocks are divided into lots. Each lot is then divided into 8 grave sites. A person can buy one or more grave site or the complete lot. You can see on the map where potters field is (or what ever you want to call it)...it is for poor people that could not afford a grave site I will include a list of these later, although many of these are unmarked and unknown. Please understand that a BLOSS might own the grave site but an EPPERSON might be buried there. Because they were related etc. Lot records were not always kept up. If I ever get an updated list of owners I will send it. Also sometimes; for example block 7 lot 3 list HART as owners but there is no visible markers or grave here, although there may be someone buried there.
