REDDING CEMETERY
Located in Chariton County MO,
3.5 miles +- North of
land owned by Crenshaw White,
by Land Grant he received, 1st April 1843.
His wife Sarah {
about, 1845-47, set aside 1
acre of his farm for the
his wife died. Crenshaw was
probably also buried there after the 1860
census, as n
tombstones, for the two, were found. The exact location of their graves
is lost. The farm was sold to
John G. Wisdom 28 Aug 1887. It has been reported that,
at one time some of the
gravestones, were removed and hauled to West Yellow
Creek, just west of the
cemetery, and dumped into the stream. Relatives that
had family members buried there
stopped this. Some grave locations were lost.
