CHRISTIAN COUNTY LOOK-UPS
There has been much discussion among the US GenWeb Project volunteers and coordinators, regarding look-ups and copyright laws. In order to assure that the Christian County GenWeb page will not be a party to any copyright violations, this page will include only look-ups from public domain sources or sources from which we have the permission of the copyright holder.
When requesting a look-up, please remember the following guidelines:
1. Please put CHRISTIAN COUNTY LOOK-UP in the subject line of your e-mail request.
2. US GenWeb will not tolerate any copyright violations. Limit your request to one name, or perhaps two if it is a married couple. Please do not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group, or for hardcopies to be mailed; the volunteers have been asked not to comply with such requests. Our look-ups will extend to searching the book to determine if the book would be helpful to you in your research. Should the book prove useful, we can provide the author's address and ordering information.
3. Don't forget to thank the volunteer for his or her time.
