The Thomas Nicholas family shows up in Clinton County Missouri between 1904-1928, at least I have records thru 1928, but there were more records at the Clinton County courthouse with Nicholas family names, but I needed to verify the names and make a return trip.

PASSED AWAY
Thomas Nicholas, aged 77 years, passed away at his home on North Walnut street at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night, death resulting from a stroke of paralysis recently suffered.  Funeral services were held at the Christian church at 2'oclock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.W. Kilborn.  The body was taken to Osborn for interment.  Services at the cemetery were conducted by members of the Grand Army.
