Mrs. Wadley
Waters Dies At Home Here
Funeral services for Mrs. Wadley
Waters who died last night at her home, 309 half Monroe street, will be held
Thursday with burial in
Riverview Cemetery. Mrs. Waters suffered a stroke yesterday afternoon
and died a few hours later. She was 75 years old. She was born March 8, 1865 in
Columbus, Ohio and came to Missouri with her parents as a child. She had lived
in Jefferson City 40 years. She was first married to Leroy S. Wadley, who died
about 20 years ago. She later married George Waters, who preceded her in death
13 years ago. Mrs. Waters was a charter member of the Vietch Rebekan
lodge, a member of the Jefferson chapter, Eastern Star, and a life long member
of the Methodist church. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Theodore Stalzer,
Columbia; one brother, J.E. Payne, Mokane, and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Gilman, also
of Mokane. Five grand-children and three great grand-children also survive.
Note: Leroy S. Wadley is buried next to her in Riverview.
