Mrs. D.L. Stark Dies In
Oklahoma
Services Held Here Tuesday
Mrs. Nancy Katherine Stark, 81, widow of Dr. D.L. Stark, died at Vinita,
Oklahoma at 8 p.m. Saturday, December 20th. Her death was attributed to
bulbar pneumonia.
She was born in Cole County near Russellville. Her parents were
Mr. and
Mrs. T.M. Enloe.
Mrs. Stark was a member of the Presbyterian Church. When she lived here
she was quite active in the church and its various branches. For many
years she led the Bible study in the Women's organization.
Surviving are three daughters Mrs. J.P. McKinsey of Dallas, Texas, Mrs.
J.B. Darrough of Vinita, Oklahoma, and Mrs. M.C. Morse of Topeka, Kansas;
two sons, Paul Stark of Jefferson City and Ben Stark of Virginia Beach,
VA.; thirteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Dr. D.L. Stark, a dentist here for many years, died August
18, 1948.
Services were held at the Williams Funeral Home in this city at 3 o'clock
Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. R.W. Furkin officiating.
Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.

SISTER OF MRS. J.W. MORROW DIES
Mrs. J.W. Morrow received word Saturday, December 20 that her sister,
Nancy Catherine (Mrs. D.L. Stark) had passed away at 3 o'clock that day at
Vanita, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stark had been in failing health for a number of
years and seriously ill since September. She passed away at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. James Darrough, with whom she was spending the winter.
She attained the age of 81 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Mrs. Stark was born at Russellville, Mo., daughter of the late T.M. and
N.F. Enloe.
She had lived at California, Mo. for 48 years and was a member of the
Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American
Revolution at California, MO. She taught bible class until her health
failed and was noted for her kind and charitable traits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. D.L. Stark, two sons Nobel
and Thomas David and one daughter, Ladene, Mrs. Glenwwod Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Stark of Jefferson City and Ben Stark of
New York City; also three daughters, Mrs. Clarice McKinsey of Dallas,
Texas, Mrs. Frances Darrough of Venita, OK., Mrs. Jane Morse of Topeka,
KS.; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr.
H.V. Enloe of Eldorado Springs, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. F.M. Thatcher
of Oakland, Ca., Mrs. D.I. Knorr of Catawissa, Pa., Mrs. Walter Ray of
Ashland, Ks. and Mrs. Walter Morrow of Cole Camp.
Funeral Services were held at the Williams Funeral Home at California, MO.
Tuesday December23rd, with the Presbyterian Church minister officiating.
The music was in charge of the Presbyterian choir.
Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in California, Mo.
