Maurath
Family Home Page by John Maurath
My ancestors, Felix and Josephine Maurath came to St.Louis in 1842 and bought their home
which was right behind St.Vincent dePaul's Catholic Church on 9th and Park, then known as
"Frenchtown". Felix was from Baden,Germany and Josephine was from Lorraine,
France. He was a "riverman" on the Mississippi, and then a "drayman".
