In Memory of William Patterson, beloved husband of Martha J. Patterson nee Hyatt, Mar. 3, 1817, died Aug 4, 1874. Blessed are the Dead, That Die in the Lord.
Martha J. Patterson, beloved wife of William Patterson, nee Hyatt, born Dec. 25, 1833, (died 4-16-1898).

William was the child of Elisha and Lucy (Hubbard) Patterson and the grandson of John Patterson, Senior. On Sept. 16, 1851 he married Martha J. Hyatt (who may have been the sister of B<a>rthena Hyatt Patterson). They had six children. Martha was shot by her son Bennett.
