Daviess County cemetery CDs are now available! Each CD includes a photo of every gravestone found
in that cemetery. Why travel long distances to view your ancestors' gravestones when you can have
modern photos of the stones at a fraction of the cost! The price of each CD, including shipping, is $15 for members
and $20 for non-members. All proceeds go toward the support and expansion of the Daviess Co. Genealogy Society. For ordering

Genealogy society meetings are every other month. Last meeting of the year was Saturday, October 24, 2009. Membership is $20 per household with the advantages of free lookups [limit 3 per month], and costs are only the expenses of copying, mailing, etc. Those who are not members of our Genealogical Society can have lookups for $5 per lookup plus expenses. We are a brand new society and our resource center continues to expand with more and more resources for the researcher. All dues proceeds goes towards those resources. For more information, contact Lanita Sconce Smith, President Daviess Co. probate records were destroyed in a fire in 1890. Probate records for 1891 to present are filed at the courthouse in Gallatin. Our genealogy society hopes to create an on-line index to these records in a future project. Death certificates for the period 1910 to 1956 are being posted on-line by the Missouri State Archives in cooperation with the Missouri Secretary of State.
