I am looking for information on the parents and brothers and
sisters of Josephus Loring TOTTEN, (4-30-1836 to 4-6-1902).
He came from Orange County, New York and settled on a farm in the
Hew Hope Church area. Josephus married Almira C. Ott (1850-1889)
I believe from limited records in the Totten family Bible that
his father was possibly Samuel Totten 1891-1862 or Edward Totten
1790-1876. I believe that his grandfather was James Totten 1762-1841.
I have several names taken out of the family Bible listed between
Samuel, Edward and James until Josephus. I would like info that
will show me how to correctly connect these names to Josephus.
Josephus never left DeKalb County after he came. Josephus and
Almira are buried in the Amity Cemetery.
I am also looking for information on William GRIMES 1862-1932 who married Anna Williams 1864-1920. Anna is believed to be a direct descendant of William Penn. Anna and William lived in Amity and for a time Anna ran the hotel. It is believed that William rented out horses and buggyies to people arriving by the train. Both are buried in the Amity Cemetery.

Caroline b. 1846 MO, George W. b. 1849 MO, William b. 1851 MO,

I would appreciate any info on Elizabeth Rebecca OSBORN,
about her family history, parents and bro/sist. She was my

My few family records and memory indicate she was born in town of Cameron, MO [Cameron is just over the border into Clinton County - ed] April 13, 1881; Married: Arthur F. Felt of Pipe Creek, KS July 1902 at Kansas City, MO. Moved to Silom Springs, Arkansas in 19xx, and then to New Orleans, LA in 1921, where they lived until she passed away in 1970.
My father told me that his grandmother (Elizabeth's mother) was possibly a STEELE, and that his mother had three brothers and a sister: twins who lived in NY and one named Ollie (in Texas), and a sister (in Chicago).
Any help with the OSBORN or Steele family geneology of Cameron or DeKalb County would be deeply appreciated.
