Arthur C. Gibson lived in Dunklin County in the late 1880's. He was born in IN in 1862. He was married to Elizabeth ?. She was also born in IN. They had two children while living in Dunklin Co. Looking for info regarding the family of Curtis Stotts, b 27 July 1915 in Poplar Bluff, MO. The 1920 census lists his parents as Charles and Lula Stotts. A brother Cartus b 15 Feb 1911. Living on Valley Ridge and Brain Road in Dunklin Co., MO I have found Cratus in the SSDI. He died in July 1979. I am looking for information regarding the family of Archibald Wilburn, b 4 Sept 1892, d Dec 1981. His father was named James Wilburn. I believe he died when Archibald was abt 10 years old. He was married to Mary Oakes, born in Tiptonville, TN and they had 3 children: Larry, Herrick and Mary Lucille. Archibald was the postmaster in Lake City, AR and died in Clay Co., AR, but he was born in the Kennett, MO area, as were his children. He is said to have served as a Major in the Civil War. She married 1st: James Franklin Arnold, 1879, in VanZandt Co., TX and they had five children: James William, Hollis, Zodie Isabel, Mary Beatrice, Frankie. James died in 1889 and she married 2nd G.W. Arnold 1895/1896 who had five children, James, George, Annie, Minnie and Bell. Together they had two children: Myrtle and Dovie. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I cannot find Dee listed in the 1880 census. Was he visiting relatives? Did his parents die when he was a small child? I've searched 14 states for him in 1880. Does anyone know about this Barrett family? He shows up in the 1900 census living with W.W. Seawell as a boarder in Dyer Co., TN. Did he have siblings or cousins that lived there? Barrett that I find in Dunklin County in 1880 does not list a son named Dee. Dee's son came to live in New Madrid Co., MO. Dee himself lived the last 10 years of his life in South Dakota. She was the widow of William Underwood who died abt 1878. In Sept of 189 she married Isaac Stoner. In 1893 or 1894 Isaac Stoner married another woman. Perhaps 1893 or 1894 is Mahalah's death date. Robert Anderson Slover and Lucinda Tennessee McDonald were married in Malden Township, Dunklin County, before 1878. they had at least one child, listed variously as Isabelle Jane, Jennie Belle and Jenna Bell. Any info about them at all would be appreciated. jennie married Charles Franklin Stafford in McAlester OK (IT) in 1898. Robert Slover married Martha by 1888 and had several more children.
Researching Barker and Grissom. My grandparents were Mandy Barker and William Grissom. They lived in Dunklin Co, but I believe they came from TN.
