Green Castle Cemetery or Greencastle, also known as the Wheeler Cemetery, is located in section 26 of Grant Township in Harrison County, Missouri. From Ridgeway, go south approximately four miles on blacktop T to East 280th St and turn left (east). Go east approximately one-and-a-half miles. An old, one room schoolhouse sits on the left side of the road (as of Aug, 2004). The cemetery is approximately 500 yards north of the school in the grove of trees at the top of the hill. The cemetery has been abandoned for several years and is now overgrown with brush, briars and fallen trees. Some of the larger stones can still be located, but most are gone, damaged or unreadable. The following list was compiled from available sources including old burial records, census records, MO Death Certificates, and family histories, and should not be considered complete or totally accurate.
