Mary Clement Douglass, Certified GenealogistSM, is owner of Historical Matters, Salina, Kansas. She accepts new clients for Kansas historical and genealogical research. With more than 30 years experience as historian, genealogist, author, and teacher, she specializes in land records and lineage society applications. Mary lectures nationally on Kansas resources and genealogical methodology. Her article, Genealogical Research in Kansas appeared in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly in June, 2004. Mary contributed to the Kansas chapter in Ancestry's Red Book, 3rd edition. She is a former director of the Association for Professional Genealogists and the Genealogical Speakers Guild.
