Directions: Four and one half miles south of Urich on Hwy K to NW150, lane to cemetery is opposite this junction on the east side of Hwy K.
Condition: Fenced and gated.
History: It is said that James Fewel gave 52 feet of his property for the graveyard, thus giving it the name of Fewel Cemetery although no Fewel's are known to be buried here. The location was also known as Stewart's Hill. Jackson M. Patt, owner of Cedar Mound Stock Farm, formerly located on the east side, is said to have given 45 feet of his property to the cemetery. For many years, Agrippa Valentine Clary was the owner of the property to the west. Up until the 1900's, the road from the north made a bend at the cemetery and continued around it on the east side. Robert Preston Blevins is buried here. In the early history books he was reported to have been the first white child born in what is now Henry County, in 1831. Further research, in addition to his own grave marker, proves his birth year was 1833, and could not have been anywhere near the first born. However, he was a very colorful character and his family was prominent in the settlement of the county.
