Oct 2005, who also added photos of markers, data from other records, assisted by Larry and Nancy Lish (Idaho) in locating and uncovering buried markers. Directions: One and one half miles northwest of Urich on Hwy 7. West (left) on NW 800, cemetery is on the first hill north (right) of the road between Hwy 7 and NW 800. Condition: Sherwood High School seniors and parents cleared most of the cemetery on Oct 2005, as a Grad Night Fundraiser. The project was funded by LaDon Brennan of New York. History: Tradition says that the first burials were the bodies of slave children owned by the McCoy family who were burned to death in a cabin fire. There is also said to be a mass grave here containing the bodies of Civil War soldiers and local men who were killed when they attempted to bury them.
