Condition: Part of cemetery is fenced. - Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, March 13 2008 - Drakes Chapel United Methodist Church started its first service project for 2008 on Saturday, March 8. It was to clean up the Lewis Station Cemetery, just north of Lewis Station. Twelve church members, plus Jim Waltes from Calhoun UMC and Jim Bilbruck with the American Legion, came armed with chain saws, blowers, trimmers, rakes and a propane torch. In about three hours, the cemetery was looking good again. While the piles of brush burned, they enjoyed a weinie roast.
