These files (indexed above) contain early marriage records, compiled by Betty Harvey Williams, from Henry and St. Clair Counties (both known as Rives County before 1841), plus several others recorded in adjacent counties involving Henry County people. All records of marriage that occurred in Henry County (and early Rives and St. Clair Counties) are stored at the Henry County Courthouse in Clinton, Missouri. Photocopies of Henry County marriages may be obtained by sending the names of the couple and approximate year married (if available), and a check or money order for $2.00 to: Henry County Courthouse If no record is found, you will be notified, but your $2.00 will not be refunded. Please include alternate spellings of the names, but keep your message short and to the point.
