Regarding the bio sketches for Boone's Lick below, there is an error in p. 539 for James M. Reynolds. His mother was Nancy Burnett, not Bennett. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Burnett (1761-1848) who died 1848 in Jackson Co, Mo.
Jeremiah Burnett's estate records in Jackson County names daughter Nancy Reynolds. Nancy's mother was Effaniah Crowley who died in Patrick Co, Va in 1835.
Nancy Burnett was born 1808 in Patrick Co, Va and married there 23 Mar 1820 to William Reynolds, b. 1798 Patrick; d. 1856 in Johnson Co, Mo. Nancy's brother Isham Burnett was the Bondsman. Isham died also in Johnson Co, Mo a few months after the death of his father Jeremiah.
William Reynolds left a will probated 1856 in Johnson Co, naming his wife Nancy and to his ch: James Madison Reynolds...
James M. Reynolds married his cousin Emeline Crowley, daughter of Daniel Crowley and 1/ Sarah Howard who married in Howard Co, Mo 14 Jul 1830 by John M. Thomas, MG.
The records of the above families are in my "The Burnetts and Their Connections," Volumes 1-3.
