If you own books, microfilm, or other resource materials pertaining to Howard County, Missouri and are willing to do lookups, please contact me Sherry Raleigh-Adams.

3. Be specific in your search. For example, in a book of marriages, you might ask for the marriage date of John XXXX and Mary XXXX. DO NOT ask for a list of marriages with the XXXX surname.
4. Limit your requests to one or possibly two.
5. DO NOT ask for xerox copies.
6. You MUST follow any of the special lookup requirements of the volunteer.

Denny Genealogy, Second Book
by Elizabeth Chapman Denny Vann & Margaret Collins Denny Dixon, published in 1947. It covers the descendants of William Denny of Chester County, PA, who never came to Howard County, MO and allied families, and the descendants of George Denny of Lincoln County, NC through his son Alexander Denny who moved to Howard County MO territory in 1818. (404 pages, indexed). It covers all the known descendants of these families that up to about 1945.

by John Terrill Wayland, Jr., published in 1981. Most of this family lived in Virginia and then Howard, Randolph and Chariton Counties. It includes marriages and children with other related surnames. The author regularly had requests for a copy of the book, which is out of print. However, the author's home page has all of this information plus additions and corrections to what is in his book.
