The Iron County Genealogy Society is dedicated to the research of family,
preserving records, transcribing and making genealogy data available
to everyone. The society was formed in July of 2000. We grew to fifty members by the December meeting. The need for a genealogy society was great and Jeanette Henson McClure decided it was time to organize a local Iron County Genealogy Society. Her efforts have been a success.
Membership is $15.00 per year. You will receive a membership card, and a monthly newsletter. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the Ozark Regional Library in Ironton, Missouri, at 7 P.M. Executive board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 P.M. Newsletters are published monthly and are full of great information. Any member wishing to place queries, advertise a publication, donate articles or other information pertaining
to genealogy can mail these items to publications and they will be printed
as space allows.
