This is a wonderful view of what the McArthur store looked like inside. The girl leaning against the counter is Ruth Hoeken's mother, Bryana (Kindle) McArthur. The store, located in Iron Mountain, Mo., was owned by Ruth's grandparents Roderick and Anna (Weise) McArthur. The picture was taken around 1940.
