- Stoney Battery: is known as Stoney Battery Lodge & Fishing Club,near (Des Arc MO).
I can remember as a child viewing a sign for this location during one my summer retreats in Des Arc.
The time frame would have been before 1964. Didn't think anything of it at the time and did not ask anyone about it.
Since this posting I was contacted by an interested party, that desires to remain nameless, via telephone.
He told me the Stoney Battery Lodge & Fishing Club was a private club and owned by a group of doctors for their own recreation needs.
He thought some or all of the doctors were from the St. Louis Missouri area.
He was able to enlighten me on the location of other data for this club.
