The Davis Burying Ground
Section 29, Township 47, Range 33W
About one and one-half mile south of Martin City, Missouri, on the farm now owned by Mr. Sparks of St. Louis and Kansas City, is what is known as the Davis Burying Ground. This cemetery is quite near the Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks and covers a block of ground fifty feet square which is walled in by a high stone fence.
The following inscriptions were copied June 20, 1933:
