census with those sons and her widowed, childless daughter, Roxana 'Roxie'
Reed Tabor. These sons were born between Aug 1866 & Oct 1877 in
McNairy Co, TN and after early 1870s in Newton Co, MO.

- George B. Pearson b. Oct 1877 appears in Biographies of Jasper
County as a mine owner. He had only one child, Kay Pearson of Joplin
who married a Mr. Walldower. George's brothers remained in Joplin and
at least two of them became Joplin City fireman or policeman.

James was a mining engineer and anti-union mine owner who disapeared
ca1915-20 thought to be murdered and dropped down a mining shaft
by union organizers. His body has never been found. He is listed on
the 1900 and 1910 Jasper County Federal Census in Joplin.

He came to Newton Co, MO to join his brother and their father. He later
lived near Diamond in Jasper Co, MO. About 1900 he moved to Oklahoma
Territory at Blackburn, Pawnee Co, OK, later into Hominy, Osage Co, OK.
Thomas Everett Pearson was a road contractor, livery owner and built
many of the roads in the oilfields of Osage Co, OK as well as road and
railroad beds in NE OK. He died 6 March 1953 at his ranch in Osage County
near Skiatook. He and Jennie are buried in Hominy City Cemetery.
Note: This Pearson family is not related to the earlier
Pearsons of first Jasper County and later Newton Co, MO who operated a
hotel in Newton Co. The mother and father of that family were married
ca 1850 in Jasper Co and their marriage is recorded in the Jasper Co
marriage Book A.
