First I would like to say that there is a lot of hard work done on this site and I would like to say thank you for that! My grandmother passed away and I have gotten a hold of many pictures that were taken in the Carl Junction, Webb City and Carterville area. There are my family (Fountain, Barlow, Hinson, Faulkner, Madden, Bourne and Plauss) But there are a lot of photos of friends of my family and many with no surnames listed. I also have a photo of the Baptist and Presbyterian Churchs in Carl Junction in 1885. I would love to be able to share these photos and maybe they could be identified. And again I'd like to say thank you for all your hard work! I just need to know who to send to and how you want this done.

I am a descendant of John and Katharine Duncan who I have found were living in Jasper County in 1850 and in their household was listed two children--Delilah Age 7 and David age 5 (who was my great grandfather. There was also living in the same household a David Waldo Duncan age 19. Would love to correspond with anyone who may know anything on this family. John apparently died and then Katharine remarried to a Barry Buckner.

My Grandfather, Frank Elias Davis, son of Richard T. and Julia A. (Carrington) Davis lived in Jasper County before he moved to Denver Colorado, married and fathered my mother. I have traced the family from Callaway County, MO and the link I found regarding Sanders T. Davis, my grandfather's brother links the paths I have been taking through Kentucky and Virginia with the family -- how exciting! I hope there are still interested relatives in Jasper and the surrounds!

Researching the Calvin Nickell Family of Joplin Mo., 1870 to 1920. Arthur, son of Calvin was my grandfather, he died in 1904 and was buried in the Fairview Cemetery with most of the other Nickells. Very nice web site. Am looking for info on my great-grandparents Thomas and Mabel Hobbs. Lived in Joplin and Sarcoxie in the early 1900's. They had 4 children Stella (my grandma born 1905)Lena and 2 that died. Mabel's maiden name was Rust. Her sister Florence Odell lived in Webb City for a while.
