The free event will take place at the Jefferson County Library,

Presentations on the agenda will include:

Writing for Genealogical Records --- presented by Christine Merseal, JCL Genealogy Associate, ---- 10 a.m.

Genealogy & Facebook presented by Mindy Hudson, JCL Genealogy Clerk --- 10 a.m.

History of Otto, Jefferson County, Missouri --- presented by Guest Speaker, Donald Otto --- 11:30 a.m.

Immigration Research --- presented by Dan Vornberg --- 11:30 a.m.

Researching House Histories --- presented by LaDonna Garner, BS, CG --- 1:00 p.m.

Preserving Family Heirlooms --- presented by Guest Speaker, Lisa Fox, Missouri State Archives, Senior Conservator --- 2:30 p.m.

● Also present will be genealogical and historical organizations from around the area.

● Access the library’s online databases such as Ancestry, Heritage Quest & Footnote for free.

 JCGS will provide free photocopies to attendees using these genealogy databases.

● Register for door prizes.  The grand prize is a $20 gift certificate to Applebees plus a copy of the genealogy book, Evidence! By Elizabeth Shown Mills.

Registration is not required. However lecture space is limited, so arrive early to sign up for the presentations on the day of the event.
