May 1922-- Mrs. Mary Lynch Brosnahan was born at Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 1, 1857. She moved with her parents to Tipton, Missouri, during the Civil War, during which time her father met his death while in service. She was married to John Brosnahan in 1882 at Warrensburg, Missouri. She was the mother of 10 children; C.T.- D.V.- Mrs W. H. Shernaman, Mrs. C.E.Thompson. and Mrs. J.S.Brim of Knob Noster , Mrs. E.W.Brim of Springford, Mo., Mary E Brosnahan of Joplin, Mo., - P.T. of Pryor, Oklahoma, Mary Magdaline, who died in infancy and Jno Leo who met death by accident when a boy. Her friends were numbered only by her acquaintances. She suffered a stroke 6 months ago and gradually regained health until about 2 weeks ago, when there was a change for the worse. It was always her constant ambition and her consoling purpose to rear her children to manhood and womanhood and have them at her bedside when she passed away. All these things she accomplished and wisdom, courage and sacrifices will dwell deeply in the hearts of children and loved ones forever. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church conducted by Father Kennedy of Warrensburg. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery. The following friends served as pall bearers, Alex Hardey, Timothy Boyd, Jas. Donnelly Jr John Dinnelly, Thos. Rigg, and Jos. Franklin John Brosnahan for many years a farmer near Knob Noster died June 12, 1928 at the home of his daughter, Mrs Ernest Brim At Spring Fork, Missouri, at the age of 71. He had made his home with his daughter since his retirement from farming a few years ago. He is survived by 8 children as follows; C.T. and Victor Brosnahan, also Mrs. W.H.Shernaman and Mrs. Clifford Thompson of Knob Noster, Mrs. Jacob Brim and Mrs Ernest Brim of Spring Fork, Missouri, P.T. Brosnahan of Omaha, Neb. and Mrs. Mary McFarland of St Louis. A sister Mrs. Julia O'Conner of Warrensburg also survives. The funeral was held at Sacred Heart Church of Sedalia the Rev. Father J.J. Knoebber of Spring Fork officiating. The body was brought to Knob Noster for interment in the Catholic Cemetery, south of town. Mrs. Alice Brosnahan Virian, 66, of Sedalia, died Wednesday evening at the St Joseph hospital at Boonville, Mo. She was born in Knob Noster, the daughter of the late John and Mary Lynch Brosnahan. She was reared and educated and Married Clifford Thompson in Knob Noster where they made their home until his death July 15,1932. Mrs Thompson later made her home with her sister in New Jersey. There she met and married George Virian and they lived in Nuttey, N.J. Mr. Virian died in 1955. For the past 4 years Mrs. Virian has made her home with her brother-in- law and sister Mr. and Mrs. William H Shernaman, 523 West Third St, Sedalia, formerly of Knob Noster. She was a member of the Scared Heart Church in Sedalia. Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. William (Rose) Shernaman of Sedalia, and Mrs. Mary M-----land, Burlington, Wis., and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at the Scared Heart church in Sedalia. She was buried in Knob Noster--18 Sept, 1963
