Samuel T Mahin an aged and highly respected resident of LaMonte died at his home 
south of this city June 15, 1915. He was over 82 years of age and was born in 
Jessamine county, Ky.  He had been ill with cancer for some time.

Samuel T Mahin who died at his home southwest of LaMonte died June 1915 . He was 
born in Jessamine county, Ky. He was 82 years old.  On Jan.19,1854 he married 
Miss Lutetia Claggett of Elkton, Ky.  She died June 6, 1905. They came to 
Missouri in 1855 and located at Knob Noster.  In 1861 they moved to Illinois, 
and came back to Missouri in 1873 locating on a farm south west of LaMonte. He 
is survived by 3 children:. Scott and Ira C Mahin of LaMonte and Mrs C.M. Reed 
of Warrensburg. Another son J.M.Mahin died in 1881, leaving two children Charles 
and James who reside near Sedalia. Funeral was at the family residence with 
burial in the Knob Noster cemetery  (taken from the early files.)
