January 1929 from the Knob Noster Gem--Thomas Harrison Stanley, son of Isaac and Mary R Stanley was born Aug. 28, 1887 and met with a violent death by accident Dec. 25, 1928 at the age of 41 years , 3 months and 29 days, . The deceased spent most of his life in and near the neighborhood where he was born ,5 miles north of LaMonte in Pettis county. For the past 8 years he made Knob Noster his home and lived with his mother and grandmother. For 5 years he served the town of Knob Noster as Night Watchman. When he was a young man he was converted at a Baptist meeting but did not join the church, nor was he affiliated with any lodge. Mr Stanley leaves to mourn his death his beloved mother Mrs Mary R Stanley, His Grandmother Mrs Sarah E Edwards, 2 brothers, W. E. Standley of Hallsville, Mo.,- J.G.Stanley of Kansas City and one sister Mrs C.B.Cunningham of LaMonte, Mo. besides 3 nieces and 3 nephews, The funeral was held at the home. The pallbearers were the 4 Fauloconer brothers, all childhood playmates, Arthur Means and Joe DeLapp . Interment in City cemetery.
